When you have a leader that is proven to help the entire Department shine, why would you mess with that? Especially in one of the darkest times for the profession... stop bringing in outside people and leave the one that is doing the best for all involved.

This man seems to be doing an outstanding job. From what I can tell the jobs he’s doing is better than his two predecessors. It’s time to make him the new Chief of Police, and do away with the interim title.
