As you already know, the IA East HOSA chapter is being forced to cut down membership from 193 registered members to 40. This means 153 students will not be able to pursue their passions and interests in health sciences and related fields. Please take the time to sign this petition if you feel that you, your peers, or your son/daughter have received a positive, meaningful experience while competing in HOSA and strongly support allowing any interested students to join the club.

I loved being a part of HOSA. If this limit is placed on IA will not aiming to provide world class education to students. HOSA has made an incredible difference my interpersonal skills. This limit should not be placed.
I strongly feel that Troy school district should support this club and give more kids opportunity to learn, explore and experience health care aspect of carrier . Troy resident are paying enough tax , enough club fees, and sports fee to support all these activities . I don't see a good valid reason for them not to support it
As a parent, I am very concerned how this decision affects an aspiring student. A thriving club @ IA East, HOSA draws its strength from participation and not by elimination. I request the administration to reconsider their decision.
Hello, Participating in HOSA has been a great experience for my son Ajay & it has helped him to grow his leadership skills not to mention his confidence. I strongly believe this program is a great opportunity for IA students and would like every student to have the chance to participate in HOSA. Thanks Pankaja Balaji
I was hoping to do DECA this year, but then they got rid of that. Then I was hoping to do HOSA as an extracurricular, now they took that away too. How does this help with building a "well-rounded student" that the IB strives for?
Reducing the number of student for this club from 193 to a mere 40 would crush many students' dreams of actually participating in this club, and I see this as extremely unnecessary.
All the students need to be able to participate as it is a great oppurtunity for them. So please do not reduce the student count. They are all high school students and should be able to organize and handle with fewer volunteers. thanks Praveena Gogineni

In our school, we have a HOSA poster with a doctor on it and it says, "Can you see yourself here?" No, I can't because I might not even be able to do this club!!
