All dogs need to be certified and owners carry proper certification at all times

I have a service dog through NEADS and this bill will help me function daily without being questioned by companies and the public.

This is a huge concern that negatively impacts disabled people and their families.

I know disabled people who have genuine service dogs and have had problems due to other people with fake service dogs -- untrained animals wearing vests or otherwise misrepresented as having service dog training, but creating a nuisance or actively being dangerous. Please consider this petition.

The role of service animals must not be allowed to be misrepresented by pet owners incorrectly presenting their pet is a service animal.

I would love to know that if I acquire a service dog due to my disability in the future, his/her legitimacy would never be questioned.

I know first-hand of the importance of trained service dogs from my experience administering the Commonwealth's Home Modification Loan Program prior to retirement in 2013. I was one of many involved in this important program.

This is an absolute necessity. I was surprised to learn that there were such things as "fake service dogs". It should be strongly enforced.

Fake service dogs are a significant detriment to those who are truly needy. It is a money making scam for those agencies that sell fake and meaningless certificates.

Thank you for bringing this bill forward, I am in full agreement with the content. Passage of this bill, and enforcement once passed, will reduce the fraud and disrespect of those guilty of this misrepresentation. Service animals and service animals in-training represent a lifeline for those in need. Thank you.

I am disabled and have a service dog from NEADS. He has saved my life more than once and I couldn't imagine my life without him. People who are irgnorant enough to go as far as pretend to be disabled in order to bring your dog into a store is very sad. Our dogs are our individual tools that we use so that we can get to the level of independence that the people who are pretending have achieved, those you fake having service dogs only makes it that much more of an issue when we licensed owners go into public, I strongly support this bill,,,,,,Rebekah Lloyd

Having helped train service dogs in the past, I know how important they are. Also I want to insure those who need them continue to get the excellent legitimate support or true service dogs.

Increasingly the misrepresentation of pets as service dogs is going to limit and hurt "real" service dogs. Let's get this done NOW!

I firmly believe that we need dogs who are trained appropriately identified as service dogs.

I work in an acute care hospital. There are behavioral and infection control issues that can put patients, visitors and the animal at risk if the dog is not qualified to be in that setting. Everyone loses when the law is abused.
