Dogs who are not trained are dangerous to the public. They are sometimes placed in situations where they can become frightened and unmanageable by their unskilled handler. It is unfair to those who need a service dog to make the public suspicious of service dogs who are highly trained to respond predictably in all situations.

I completely agree with the rights that service animals are provided under the current laws. However, people who use pet and call them service animals to abuse those laws harm all of us with real service animals.

It is essential that service animals are prioritized and differentiated from pets. Intentional misrepresentation should be punishable by law.

Service animals should always be allowed in. individuals who are not authorized these animals and do bring there personal animal in should be ashamed... and pay a fine for doing so

This bill is a crucial step in ensuring that people who rely on service dogs for all aspects of life won't have their rights compromised.

I am a resident of South Carolina but my sister once had a NEADS service dog for many, many years, due to sudden deafness from meningitis at age 38, and with three children. "Emily" made the world of difference in their lives. Although she never took her to visit me from Massachusetts (she could have flown with her), I had a discussion with a flight attendant re people showing up with "Service Animals", "Emotional Service Animals", cats, snakes, you name it, and they are not allowed to even ask what their disability is, much less show PROPER Registration Papers, meaning the animal has been through weeks and weeks of intense training, and then the turning over to their new owner training, which is at least an additional week. At that time the cost of training such a dog was around $5,000.00. Now, apparently, anyone with access to a computer and printer can just print out their "Service Animal" FAKE paperwork and voila - no questions asked. It is doing a disservice to all the legitimate animals and the people that really need them. I am afraid that at some point they will just do away with letting anyone take their LEGITIMATE animals with them anywhere! Not fair to those who really do need them!

For this who Truly need and have legitimate service dogs, the fakes may ruin their access to necessary places.

I am a lifelong Holden resident who has volunteered at NEADS for the past 3 1/2 years. A wonderful organization that is truly world-class.

NEADS does great work! We cannot allow selfish individuals with dogs make commonplace and put at risk a valuable and respected resource for the disabled.

The abuse of dog owners using fake "Service Dog" accessories has gone for years and there should be criminal penalties.
