Fully support a bill to stop this insanity. HARSH punishment for frauds, liars, and scum who feel entitled to bring their "pets" everywhere.

I volunteer for NEADS, a non profit organization which raises and trains assistance dogs.
Countless hours are spent on the dogs which includes specialized training. Training lasts for months, and many of the dogs don’t make the cut. The ones that do are world class service dogs. Allowing anyone to ‘claim’ that their dog is an assistance dog, which has had little or no specialized training, diminishes the dogs that have gone through rigorous training. Dogs which are not properly trained put their handlers as well as other service dogs and the general public at risk. People falsely representing their animal as a ‘service’ or ‘assistance’ dog should be punished.

There is far too much abuse of false service animals. That abuse overshadows and undermines the amazing life changing work REAL service animals do.

When people falsely label their dogs as service dogs and the dogs are not trained properly, it makes it difficult for those truly needing or training assistance dogs when they are out in public.

It is crucial for persons needing true service animals to be protected from public interaction with animals described as "Therapy Dogs" or similar, non-service-trained dogs.

This is a must! Too many people taking advantage of the "service dog" title and the animal is not an actual service dog!

Taking advantage of those who are in need and who cannot fight for themselves is one of the lowest actions of a human being

I volunteer for Windwalker Humane Coalition, an organization that educates people and their family pets to work in pet therapy. I believe that there need to be official standards and ethics, both fir pet therapy and service animal work.
