Fake service dogs create access issues for real service dog and damage the reputation of the service dog community.

As a person who has raised service dogs I think it is a great disservice to people who need these dogs. I think that we need to either broaden the law to allow any dog to go into stores etc or we need to narrow it so that there is a better certification for service dogs. The whole thing now is a bit of a mess and ripe for abuse.

I was the owner of a service dog (hearing) who has now passed away. I am appalled at the way people are abusing this classification. I have even had people try to BUY Karma's old vest from me so they could "pass".

This abhorrent use of dogs must be stopped. The dignity and importance of service dogs must be saved.

Tired of seeing people strolling in a store and putting dogs butt on the cart for groceries. Also people who bring dogs saying they are necessary. Store clerks are not allowed to question or comment on dogs in stores.

The rights of the disabled need to be protected and ensuring misrepresentation of service animals is punishable by law is essential.

I have a service dog and strongly support this bill. PS. How about making parking in a handicap spot when it is not your handicap placard a MOVING violation so your insurance is affected.

support H2277, it is about time to protect those that truly need and use service dogs, any impostor should face a real penalty! No more Liberal Feel Good legislation! Murphy

I have had my service dog Oliver for a year now and and the amount of times that we have encountered fake service dogs and fake therapy dog in public, private establishments, stores, and restaurants is astounding. They have lunged, barked and attacked my Oliver. Oliver allows me to be independent and if Oliver were attacked badly he may need to be retired. Fake service dogs literally affect my independence and can endanger my dog. All so that people can take their dogs anywhere they want. Please protect real service animals and their owners.

I have a TDI certified therapy dog. I think facilities should be very careful to allow only certified therapy dogs volunteer. More importantly, service dogs are a life line to many people. Fake service dogs are doing such disservice to those that really require the help of a service animal. Thank you for this work.

I am a volunteer with NEADS and I know first hand the detrimental affects of fake service dogs. Properly trained and behaved service dogs jobs are made much harder because of them. Legislation is needed. Thank you!

Please sign this bill, taking a dog into a public place that is not trained is like parking in a handicapped spot.

Abuse of disability protection hurts the disabled who depend upon their service dogs.
