I have a service dog. My service dog has been distracted from his job by fake service dogs barking and once lunging at him in a store. This puts me, my service dog and others at risk. Please support this bill.

It is unconscionable to allow an able-bodied person to take advantage of the misfortune of others who rely upon the presence of a service dog. Please put an end to this exploitation and pass legislation to make this a crime.

What an insult to the "disabled" AND "abled trainer, here", when I see a dog with a fake generic vest with no identifying organization other than "Service Dog" on it. One restaurant had a customer with her small dog sitting next to her in her booth. Staff could do nothing.
While training a dog for an official organization, I was asked to leave a mall and a hospital waiting room, while we were in training. The latter employee followed me outside to insult me publicly. Yes, he got himself fired thankfully after I met with higher staff. And yes, we had our lawful, official vests & my i.d. visible.

This real important. Too many times as a commercial real estate management professional I have tenants abusing the claim that their dog (lapdog) is a 'service dog.'

I'm glad and grateful to see this. Real Service Dogs spend 2+ years in intense training programs. The dogs work hard, their trainers work hard. To get a Service Dog from puppy to working is time consuming and expensive. Fakers are liars and cheats and take due respect away from the true working dogs.

We need to protect those who are playing by the rules (official service dogs). Those who bend the rules make it hard for the legitimate dogs. Thank you

My sons service dog has been attacked in stores by fake dogs. It is unacceptable for anyone to be attacked in a store. We spent a year and a half waiting for our service dog.

I agree with this petition. Too many people making a mockery of true service animals necessary for their owners needs.

I'm deaf and think this is a very important bill because many people try to pass off pets as a service or hearing dogs.

As a handler of a legitimate service animal this bill is so important. Fake or fradulant service animals are causing harm in so many ways. Please consider passing this bill to keep businesses, true service dogs, and the public SAFE!!
