Stop fake service animals. Protect the true service animals, and there owners!

I've encountered the fake ones before. I'm sorry, but a Chihuahua does not qualify as a service dog. Get a magnet on a stick if you drop your cutlery.

I've been training service dogs for 5 years as a volunteer. I increasingly see misrepresentation of "regular" dogs as service animals. This is not right, and is a disservice to the disabled-

I have encountered people hugging and carrying small dogs claiming they are emotional service dogs, how do you handle this?

This is crucial ! A lot of people use this as an excuse to get discounts and get away with certain things . I support this 100% ! Service dogs like Earl train/work so hard to help the disabled and when someone says it's an emotionally support dog thinking that's all what being a service dog means is extremely sad . Please pass this bill to honor the ones who have been working so hard to prepare service dogs for everyday tasks spend countless hours teaching them things preparing them beyond the emotional support part but the changing or making life a whole lot easier for the person or the child.

I think it is a shame people can get a fake service dog certificate. I've been at the grocery store where a filthy dog was in the cart and when confronted was told they have a certificate. They don't belong there when they aren't actually service dogs.
