I already gave them feedback that their lift operators were distracted when on the Alpenglow lift my 8 year old daughter didn't get off in time and had to ride all the way down and back up by herself!

This decision should be swift and immediately implemented. I look forward to read the positive news how Eldora is putting child safety as their highest priority.

I hate that lift! I'm an adult, and even I feel better with a bar. I avoid using it with my two young skiers. In addition to having a bar, there should always be an adult with kids 6 and under! How would they even reach the bar to put it down? This is a common sense fix.

I agree. My kids have participated in Trek and are now older and ski racers. I was always nervous about the old lifts.

This yet one more example of the management of Eldora paying nil attention to the needs and desires of local skiers. I had a season pass there for almost 40 years, but no longer set foot on the place because of management's arrogance!

The lack of a bar on lifts that serve beginner and intermediate runs that children use regularly is alarming; most major resorts have special operating procedures and safety features for lifts children use frequently. Our family was looking forward to using a season pass at Eldora frequently next year while our young son learns to ski, but the lack of focus on industry standard safety procedures for children is making us consider another resort that is more family friendly.

My 5 yr old son rode on a 3 man lift with no bar and two other 5 yr olds in the Eldorables program this year (he told me later). It was his last lesson. Neither he or my 3 yr old will take another lesson until safety is made a priority and an adult rides with these young kids as POLICY. Parents would volunteer ... it’s not that hard to figure out. Prioritize safety. Falls like this for kids is entirely preventable.

Common sense. Please listen Eldora.

I have been very anxious riding this lift myself because it goes so high off the ground, often stops and swings in the wind, and has no bar. UPGRADE!

This is so important for keeping kids safe when on the mountain. Please change your policy and practice right away!
