Never would I let my almost 6 yo old on a lift with out an adult and certainly not without a bar. So glad this child survived.

5 years ago my daughter was hit in the head by that chairlift due to poor operator control then up on the lift with another 5 yr old. I have not taken my kids back to a Eldora since. Keystone or Beaver Creek all the way.

Please install safety bars. The high winds make them necessary.

Eldora is NOT a safe resort for kids. Both of my kids have been hit by snowboarders who didn’t even stop. Don’t let your kids ski or ride alone and be vigilant.

A safety bar is extremely important at Eldora, especially with the wind.

I would love to see pennies on kids in ski programs, no.more than 6 kids per instructor, and have other people, even.parents available to ride the chair lifts with kids, and bars on all lifts. You Are Setting Your instructors Up For failure.

We pulled our 4 year old son out of Eldorables because they allowed him to ride Sundance with another 4 year old and NO instructor. This occurred in 2016 and I have written documentation of Eldora failing to fix the issue or install a safety bar. Eldora has clearly ignored the issue and been negligent. The lift operators are also improperly trained at this resort. If I can assist in providing proof Eldora is negligent, contact me. The Ownership & Management failed to address known safety issues we addressed in emails to them. The instructor brushed us off and said to not be concerned. Shame on them, this could have been avoided. Makes me furious! We’ve repeatedly told friends NOT to put their kids in Eldorables due to the situation that occurred this weekend. Let’s hope the little girl is okay and recovers fully!

Parents, your young children are not going to be able to live a risk-free life. Thousands and thousands of people Have grown up in the Colorado mountains, riding lifts ithat didn’t have bails, and everyone survived. If you want a risk free life for your child put them in bubble wrap and stick them in the closet.

You people do realize you don’t have to send your kids to Eldora, right? If their policies are really that dangerous, then vote with your business and dollars. That will get their attention faster than anything.

Also train the lift operators to help the smaller children get situated properly and teach the kids to ask for help getting on the lift. And adding safety bars wouldn't be a bad idea either.

When my sons were in Eldorables I too was concerned about the fact that they were riding the lifts without adults, let alone safety bars at age 4/5 and I never said anything! So thank you for voicing this very important issue!
