I fully support the stipulations of this petition. Especially adding the safety bars.

Saw a child fall off the WinterPark lift it clearly should have had a safety bar.

Absolutely have bars and adult supervision on lifts for children under age 14. This latest incident is unacceptable. Chair lift safety is a must. Falls from 10 feet can be fatal.

I am from Denver, Colorado. I have a 6 year old, 3 year old, and 1 year old. All of whom I hope will be skiers some day. Eldora's approach to ski lift safety needs to change.

There seems to be a general lack of attention given by the lift operators. Last season my son and I were separated entering onto the moving carpet at the base of the Alpenglow. My son got his ski stuck at the gate while I was moved away on the carpet. Took too long for the lift operator to hear us yelling, notice the situation at hand, and slow the lift. Not a good experience!

Please do the right think and not think from your bank account but from your heart.

50 years skiing all over the country. This is the fault of the lift operator and no training! Every lift should ma e a safety bar..no child should be allowed to ride as a single.

I am livid that Eldora doesn't take this incident and the previous hazards seriously enough. These are children's lives. To call it a "rare incident" is negligent and here I was about to put my four year old in their care. Not a chance. I am SO sorry for the dear 6 yr old who had this traumatic experience and all those who had to witness it. My heart breaks for them. On the flip side, I encourage all parents to take action on this.

The last time I skied Eldora, I was injured on the chair at the bottom of the lift when my skis came off as I got hit with the chair; at the top of the lift, the chair was not stopped for me to get off. The lift operator appeared to be reading a magazine and did not hear us shouting to get her attention. I did not feel safe returning to Eldora to ski. Turns out, children are not safe, either. Eldora Management: PLEASE work with Parents for a Safe Eldora .

The child safety procedures at Eldora are significantly lacking in comparison to other resorts.

All the lifts should have safety bars.

Keep our children safe!! No reason to risk the health or life of a child! Change ski lift rules, so even 6 year-olds can ride safely. The unfortunate event last Sunday should never happen again!!!!!!
