At other resorts, it is common for the instructor to ask a queuing adult to ride with a young skier. I’ve seen multiple incidences at eldora where this did not happen and the child rode alone. As a parent, this does make me nervous.

These changes are for the safety of our kids in Eldora ski lessons. Safety precautions should be mandatory with our kids so there are no more ski lift injuries that could lead to death.

Please make this change to your policy. And add more rigor to your procedures. This was a horrible and completely avoidable accident.

Please change your habits and make a policy that no child under six can ride a lift without an adult.

Eldora should make mandatory the use of the bars, I have seen many kids not using the bar because became normal at Eldora just not to use them! If the bar is there, it should be lowered for everyone regardless age, more accidents could be avoided!

Frankly, 6 is too low of a bar for age. It should be significantly older and based on industry best practices.

We will not ski in Eldora with our kids, theirs profits are in a much higher priority than anything else:, children success in their Eldorable
Programs , draconious refund policies, attempts to charge for parking or children’s safety, my heart is with the little girl and her family.

I have a 6 year old son currently in the Trek program at Eldora. He is a beginner and it terrifies me to think of him riding the chairlift without an adult.

I was present when Eldora’s current (and insufficient) policy was violated last Thursday by a ski instructor who put two 5-year-olds alone on the lift, while the children told him their parents would not approve their riding without an adult.

We will not ski at Eldora or recommend it to other families on social media or elsewhere until a policy is enacted to ensure kids below age 8 ride on lifts with adults during ski lessons. Thank you.

This has been a problem for many years, and we are many who have asked for more safety during the years. This accident should never have happened.

I think kids under age 9 should not be on a lift without an adult.
