Make Delta & Observatory Safer

Lower the speed limit on Delta

The way cars bomb through this part of town is awful. I live at the corner of Marburg and Wasson and people will race down Marburg at 50 mph, blatantly disregarding the red light. Someone is going to die. This is a residential neighborhood and these streets were never designed to carry the volume of traffic they unfortunately currently do. Install cameras and/or speed bumps. Whatever it takes for people to slow down and obey traffic signals.

Please help keep our children and community safe.

I'm concerned also about the light at Delta and Griest. Kids cross at that light walking to/from Kilgour school. Cars drive too fast on Delta in general, because it is a connector to other major roads. I think the design of this street makes it more likely for cars to speed through the lights on red. I do not feel safe when driving or walking across Delta on Observatory and Griest.

I personally have been in an accident where someone ran the red and hit me!

We need an urgent solution. Our safety is at risk.

How many people have to die before they do something about the excessive speed on Delta and Linwood!

I live in Hyde Park and use this intersection regularly as a pedestrian and driver. Please make it safer.

very dangerous intersection - too many accidents & running traffic lights

Poorly timed lights, incentivizing people to drive at excess speeds to make the light. Not the whole problem of course, but part of it!

Light is timed terribly and traffic moves fast to make lights.

Let’s protect the school kids and everyone else on that dangerous corner!

I drive, walk and run through this intersection frequently. Often see cars running red lights and I've been hit (just a glancing blow) by a minivan turning from Delta to Observatory and not seeing me as a runner (driver was on their phone).

We were on the bus that was involved in an accident at this intersection. Please do something!!!!!

This was across the street from my house..my husband and I and my kids are constantly going out to help people in accidents outside our house. There's been dozens of accidents since we moved in 5 years ago. Something needs to be done to keep our families safe. We have had shards of glass on our hill as well as parts to vehicles.

I walk across this intersection frequently and support making it more safe.
