We don’t want to be Virginia Beach. Keep Chesapeake Green by keeping the land free from development of multi use apartments or free standing homes. Schools NEED improvement before more housing.

I'm a retiree and on a fixed income. Your passing the "Tax and Expenditure Limitation Act" will help people like me pay the necessities such as food, utilities, mortgage/rent, high gas prices, medical/dental expenses, and other necessities. Thank you.

Not just increasing taxes, but to provide a "law" that states a man or woman must pay taxes.

At this rate my fixed income of money coming in from retirement will not be enough in less than ten years from now

With as much as Chesapeake is building and has for the last 40 years their taxes are onecof the highest in the area. Chesapeake needs to give it's citizens a breake in taxes.

As a local resident that owns 2 Chesapeake Small businesses, I'm frustrated with how the property taxes have gone up so much. Is the city trying to kill small business?

We are constantly being over taxed, while at the same time not spending the tax payers money wisely. It's easy to spend someone else's money. thank you

Our real estate and personal property taxes are way too high.

If we could sell our home based on the assessment we would sell it and move out off Chesapeake.

Real Estate assessment increases are a back door to tax increases. This petition is a bit complex, but City mgr, Price & Council need to get the message that we will not stand for this. If Manager Price can't Manage the city without increasing taxes, counsel needs to fire him & find someone that can.

My husband and I are over 70 years old and we cannot afford to be paying more taxes we already paid enough. We need the City of Chesapeake to pass a "Tax and Expenditure Limitation Act" to control spending and taxes. Thank you
