With as much as Chesapeake is building and has for the last 40 years their taxes are onecof the highest in the area. Chesapeake needs to give it's citizens a breake in taxes.

Real Estate assessment increases are a back door to tax increases. This petition is a bit complex, but City mgr, Price & Council need to get the message that we will not stand for this. If Manager Price can't Manage the city without increasing taxes, counsel needs to fire him & find someone that can.

My husband and I are over 70 years old and we cannot afford to be paying more taxes we already paid enough. We need the City of Chesapeake to pass a "Tax and Expenditure Limitation Act" to control spending and taxes.
