Make changes to dangerous Blaydon Bank(Gateshead,Tyne & Wear)

I was the driver who knocked over the young lad nearby in October 2014. It was sheer luck that I managed to swerve to avoid a tragedy. I wasn't speeding. I live on Blaydon bank and have applied to have my long garden and my neighbours made into in shared driveway because I truly believe that taking the cars off the road and putting in speed deterring measures is the only way forward. The council are dragging their heels and the housing association are insisting on me funding it myself, even though I've lost my job through my own disability. If this were a more affluent area these ,easures would have been taken by now.

The vans coming up from Blaydon while I am driving down are a nightmare. They see I am travelling down after waiting for a break in the traffic and they make a beeline for me and refuse to move. Tonight I had someone behind me and therefore I couldn't move. I got out of my car because O thought I was having an attack. He could easily have waited for 10 seconds while I reached the bottom. He created road rage. And he didn't bat an eyelid.

changes need put in place n measures taken to assure the safety of public that use zion tce on a regular basis please lets do something about this n hope there will be no more fatalaties and further more no more familys destroyed

This road has always been dangerous. Even back when I was a kid in the sixties, I remember seeing a couple of accidents while just passing. The traffic was no where like it is today. The traffic needs to slow down. On this road

I completely agree. My fiancé is forced to park along that road as there's nowhere else available. We live on Alice Street but our entire back lane is "claimed". We have nowhere else to park. Unfortunately this means I'm forced to carry my 18 month old son across this road every morning to get to the car. It terrifies me thas my baby could be hurtby a simple trip to the car

Same problem with the zebra crossing on Derwenthaugh Road by the Copse Estate!

This road needs to have some changes done to it ASAP, my brother lost his life due to been killed and broke many hearts we don't want another family suffering the same as what we have. I live in Durham and when I go to visit my sister when she's up i hate driving up that bank I close my eyes, I can't stand it. Something needs to be done it's so dangerous!

Take a section of the gardens and make it into proper parking space for cars

I strongly agree this road is a ticking time bomb ready to take some othrt persona life and this has really sademed me please can some safty measures be put in place

I use this stretch of road on a daily basis and always slow down to 20-25mph. The amount of other drivers who speed up or try to cut in, in order to save themselves precious seconds in their journey is worrying. I'm sure most of them would be local to the area and know the history of this road and should show some better road sense and respect

This road is very dangerous, there has been many accidents on this road and it won't be long until another one happens. Kids cross this road on their way to school. There need to be a safe crossing there for the sake of people's lives

Very dangerous road especially as nobody takes any notice of speed signs needs a speed camera on the road down to Blaydon West school as people fly up and down past that school not noticing speed signs
