I love buffy the vampire slayer. Please DVD blu ray :)

Buffy so deserves a blu ray release in time for the 20th anniversary. A proper one even if its widescreen, I hope it looks like they did all the international dvds for season 4-7. Also I hope for some new extras, like a 20th anniversary one, and FINALLY get SMG for commentaries. But I can live without new extras, just a good proper blu ray, not the crappy netflix or broadcast versions.

Buffy deserves a blu ray release for its 20th aniversary in March 2017. Or by Christmas 2016 to optimise the sales ! Maybe with a nice collector package for the fans ? :)

Yes please looks better especially, Netflix and people who like widescreen,and wishes the picture was brighter. Even though joss likes it dense its not clear for certain TV's!

Hi there, to whoever reads this... Buffy is a CULT show, I'm not even saying this because I'm a long time fan ever since the beginning... It is a fact, it is a CULT show that has had a huge impact on pop culture and tv shows that followed. And it's still relevant to this day. Pivot and ABC Family started airing a HD remastered version of the show. That's why we're hoping that a blu ray boxset will be soon released down the line. As much as I/We appreciate the effort, we think the HD transfer doesn't respect well enough the original version : heavy DNR, wrong color filters, special effects gone wrong (when vampires die, it looks like smoke instead of dust, even tho I suspect the DNR to be responsible), unecessary cropping, etc. I know some changes have been made between the Pivot run and the ABC Family version, therefore we're hoping that this is just a "draft version" before the final release. A Facebook page has been created to show many mistakes : https://fr-fr.facebook.com/BuffyHD/ I'm sure the hard work made by the fans can only help the studios in charge of the remaster to give their best shot at remastering Buffy. After all, the HD version will be the one used for the reruns for years to come and that's how the new generation will discover Buffy. I'm not gonna get into the whole 4:3/16:9 debate. I know Joss Whedon said he is a purist and that the show is intended to be watched in 4:3. I PERSONALLY like 16:9 better because it gives a modern look to the show. BUT please, no uncessary cropping... It is time for Buffy to come out on Blu Ray and be sure that they are THOUSANDS of people/fans around the world waiting for this to happen, even tho they won't take the time to sign this petition. Please give us a beautiful gift for Christmas 2016 before the show reaches it's 20th anniversary in March 2017. The show deserves it, the heavy fanbase deserves it. THANK YOU !!! JC, a French fan.

If remastered the series would sell like hotcakes. Even Fox knows this.

Buffy the vampire slayer is a show that redefined television. It needs to be seen and preserved in the highest quality possible. Fans of the show want it in that way, and will gladly purchase these blu rays. It is a series that is undeniably incredible and inspirational to modern television. Please release this on blu ray.
