Why is this a question? These actions will protect our students. Implementing these securities is a no brainer. Please keep my campus safe, respectful, and diverse.

International students add greatly to our country's success. They should be made to feel secure and welcome on our campuses. They will influence how we are perceived as a nation.

I am a BGSU alum and I make Bowling Green my home. I want anyone who comes here to be safe from the kinds of persecution we have seen at airports this past weekend. I want students at BGSU to feel safe here. Safety is a basic need. President Mazey, I urge you to do what other campuses have done and make BGSU a sanctuary campus.

Mazey needs to realize that if she doesn't make this university a safe place, she will be RESPONSIBLE for the lives that are affected right now. As an alum, I'm very disappointed in her decision to denied this proposal. If she's trying to include diversity and inclusion within her job description for herself and the school, she can go back where she came from. When we are promoting diversity and inclusion, it does not mean we are training ourselves through a computer and/or by statistics. Mazey, you will realize that sooner or later, you will be paying for someone's funeral and it will be your fault.

Students participating in the DACA program are the kind of students we welcome in America. I see nothing in this petition that is contrary to the law, and urge President Mazey to reconsider BGSU's position, and make BGSU a sanctuary campus.

Universities are not law enforcement bodies, and the information BGSU gathers is for educational purposes. When you turn our campus into an inquisition, you do grave harm to the work we are charged to do as educators. I know you're better than that, and I hope this community is too.

I don't believe in illegal immigrants, but this is different. The students and staff are here legally even if they aren't citizens. We go to Britain and we aren't citizens when we attend their colleges. I truly believe everyone deserves a chance as I come from a low income, single parent household, and high poverty are. I know how important college is so no mater race, gender, sexuality, or whatever else their is to discriminate against, I feel that as long as you pay to be here like everyone else you should get the same treatment.
Make BGSU a sanctuary school!
