There have been many incidents caught on my home surveillance system of people walking around in the weee hours and pulling on door handles. I live in the Crievewood subdivision and have seen this on my camera the next day.

I think this is a great idea, but I don’t think the city will pay for it. Maybe if each neighborhood could get the owners together to put in on a surveillance system for their particular neighborhood that would be an option. I know the police have stepped up patrolling neighborhoods and even added a 4th shift just for this issue. Hopefully we can band together and make Bartlett an undesirable area for thieves to come.

Well we pay plenty in sales tax so why not use it to keep up with keeping Bartlett safe.

My husband and I moved to Bartlett 11 years ago to escape the exact type of situation that is developing here. I hope we can all do something ,together, to stop this crime from escalating!

I agree, I have lived in Bartlett for 22 years and always felt safe, not too much in the past 2 years. Thanks, Robert for getting g this petition started. We n eed to be heard.

Bartlett has enjoyed the reputation of a community that is tough on crime. Please continue with that position, and in fact, do everything that can be done to increase that perception. I would like to see BPD rolling through the neighborhoods more often. I would like for BOD to stop and question cars with people that look “out of place”, even at the risk of accusations of profiling.
