Animals are living breathing beings, if humans cannot show compassion towards one soul how can they another? Why then not give them the harshest penalty and make examples of people so they are less likely to continue to harm other living beings.

Punishment should equal the crime in this country and there would be a lot less people that we have to feed and house in prisons. The killing of innocent animals is horrible! They are so trusting and loving, how could anyone do such a thing? They need to be punished very harshly so that they will never have the opportunity to do that to another living being.

It is completely UNACCEPTABLE that these people get off so easily after torturing and abusing living creatures! It is time that the price of their actions gets higher and paid in full by these creeps!!!

This should be automatic. If someone can get life in prison for killing a police dog or horse, why don't our pets deserve the same respect?
