Make Adams Ave Park Safe

I am tired of feeling nervous in my neighborhood. I think the parks need to be returned to the taxpayers and their families.

I just hope they don’t move to the ally ways by our homes.

There are a lot of very unhappy home owners/voters in the Kensington, Normal Heights neighborhoods. The homeless are ruining are neighborhoods

Please also get the homeless out of Ward Canyon Park. There is drug dealing going on there. Homes near the park have been broken into. Residents have their UPS packages stolen. Please get the homeless out of the parks in Normal Heights.

Normal Heights is a great community and proud to live in it. But it seems the homeless have invaded not only our park but our streets, sidewalks, canyons and alleys. Did someone put a welcome sign up? I have owned my house for 10 years and love our space and those of our neighbors but lately the crime has increased and to have homeless be present at the park and the security of our neighborhood is concerning. We need to protect and prevent the acceptably of this continuing . Reading other neighbors comments are so valid. Yes I do feel for the homeless but I also feel they need a purpose in life as we all do. Sitting around just breeds more sitting around The ones who have a desire to more forward will and those who have addiction problems need help Our county government needs to research and find a way to provide as well as shelters. Enabling them does nothing for the human soul, only deepens their lifestyle which we become part of in our community .

Let’s clean up our neighborhood.

This is ridicules that I can't take my child to our park due to homeless

I walk my son to Adams Elementary every single day and have some issue or another whether it's the one guy with the Pitbull breed dog that somebody posted a complaint about and if they get kicked out of the park they camp out by Vons if they kicked kicked out of there they camp out by Subway on Wilson and apparently on Hawley by the Church. There's obviously a lot of drug activity I seen it and I personally seen drug deals go on I don't know why so many people are living at that Park spreading out their blankets and tarps at night and sleeping there underneath the toddler playground they're using it as shelter maybe this 24-hour bathroom rule to spread Hep a is causing more harm than help.

Last night the homeless had a fire going in the park. This is on top of all the other dangers in the park and neighborhood of their making that others have already discussed here. Enough is enough.

This needs to stop.

A park next to a school needs to be safe and clean.

I am angry that our city government was not more proactive in assisting the homeless before the city situation turned into a disaster.

Last week we were stopped on Adams by a man yelling “Call the police.” He’d been accosted by one of the park’s new denizens who had apparently robbed him of his cellphone. We called 911. But this is not something we want in our neighborhood!

Doesn’t feel safe to walk and take dogs there during the day.

I hope the city can restore this as a park for all residents to use, and not be intimidated by the homeless.

The only solution that makes sense is a parking lot in that location. The shade and grass are way too attractive. Police are already there every day. It will never be the kind of park we all want given the epidemic of homelessness. This active park and the NH community at large needs parking.

Please seek alternative mechanisms to assist the homeless in a humane way by finding a solution to find safe space for them that doesn’t jeapordize our children’s desire to play in a safe space.
