Make a Safe Crossing on A275 in South Chailey

Please make a safe crossing for our children.

I wholeheartedly support this petition to create a safe crossing on the A275 near to Mill Lane, for the sake of all users including school pupils.

Sick of seeing my children and others negotiating the busy A275 in order to get to school. Children will only wait for so long before they take risks. It will end badly for a child and/or a car driver. Why has Chailey been left behind, we have a popular secondary school, for goodness sake get us safe.

Keep our kids safe

So obviously needed to inevitably save life - does a child have to die before this is taken seriously- on your heads be it.

Please make a safer crossing for the children.

We need a crossing!!!

This is a death waiting to happen. If you really care about our environment and our children it’s time for this road to have a crossing and slow traffic down. Being the community back to Chailey.

We desperately need a safe crossings before any more accidents or even a death happens!

This is a basic safeguarding issue for our children. A safe crossing by such a large school is essential.

Badly needed, but careful decision should be given to the siting of the crossing.

Long overdue, there were several accidents when my kids were at Chailey, over 15 years ago. the road has only got busier over the years.

I was a witness to a teenage girl getting run over on her way to school. My sons friend has also be hit by a car on the same road who was only 5 or 6 at the time.

This should been done along time ago too many near misses and accidents

There have been several accidents and with a large number of children crossing the road from a secondary school that caters for many hundreds of children it's preposterous there isn't already a safe crossing for our children.

We need this crossing for the safety of our children with such a busy road.

This is a very fast road which is dangerous for school children to cross alone. A crossing should be installed to make this safer for students to cross the road.

This road is so heavily used a safe crossing area is an absolute must.
