Many people drive far too fast on this road and it is very difficult to cross safely.

This is a really fast road with both a T-junction and lay-by to watch. Please put in a crossing, at a safe location, to help our students cross.

If walking to school is to be encouraged, as it should be, there must be a safe route to do so. A crossing on the A275 is essential to provide a safe route to Chailey school.

Crossings near schools are essential, and especially on a fast, busy road like this, where pavements are also thin/sporadic and children need to cross multiple times in order to proceed safely. A crossing (or two) should be implemented urgently before any more children are put at risk or injured - please don’t wait until there is a fatality!

My daughter crosses this road every day to walk to school. Some days it takes her ages to cross as the traffic is so busy. Luckily she is patient but there have been times when it has made her late. The current roadworks have only exacerbated the situation. A crossing is essential.

Please address this issue I have experienced the risk first hand and we should be proactive in our measures to prevent potential incidents rather than wait for an accident to occur before action is taken.

The A275 is an extremely fast road, which many school children who attend Chailey Secondary School cross on a daily basis. I’m signing the partition to create a safe crossing for children and the general public.
