I hope that we don't have to wait for another accident for the council to justify putting a crossing there!

Vital need for safe a crossing when schoolchildren cross here daily. Would be useful to also petition for a reduced speed limit on this road at times when children are crossing.

On the same morning of the accident I was pulling into the large parking bay opposite mill lane and a girl walking with headphones stepped into my path not even looking up, luckily I was stationary but thought this is chaos as many children are crossing off this verge to get a better viewpoint of passing cars on the faster mainroad and it isn’t safe as there is signage obstructing and too much going on at this point with cars pulling out at the t-junction opposite as well.

Please put a crossing in and make it safer for our children to get to and from school. It’s such a busy/fast road and I fear a serious accident could occur if something isn’t done about it

I have lived in chailey for 20 years there has been 4 children have been hit by a vehicle. 2 in the last six months in south chailey the junction is narrow for buses and cars to come into mill lane. narrow paths and 40 on A275 no where safe for pedestrian to cross on very busy roads.

Any one who uses this road will be aware of the traffic speeds and levels, There urgently needs to be a safe crossing. The pedestrian traffic is due the schol very high and mainly children.

Its a very busy road and a crosing encourages people to walk to school which must be a good thing
