Let Maitreya happen!!! Let us do good for the local community and its people. Its only a few days event which will generate money for the local community. Can't understand why everyone cant work together to make this happen.
It will benefit all.

Let's not forget the traders inside the festival that have chosen Maitreya as their preferred event over and above many more that are running on the Labor Day weekend.
All of us have put many hours of planning and investment into helping this festival be the wonderful experience it is for the local community and patrons.

Extremely disappointed to hear this outcome from the Buloke Shire. People in Charlton have done it tough for years with droughts and floods, shame red tape is getting in the way of what would be a huge money maker for the town. Buloke Shire please let this event go ahead and see this as a major investment in local businesses!
