Our art program has been cut enough!!! Art opens children's minds to see things in different ways and connects them more to the world and themselves. Children need to have a balanced education/curriculum. Our current art program is also what brings the school together as a community through the annual art show and collaborative school projects. I hope the right choice is made. We should not decrease the amount of time kids get with art! Let's let the kids have a balanced curriculum that every student can thrive in by keeping one art teacher per elementary school. The kids need the entire art curriculum, not a sloppy version that is created just to check the box that they get art.

Art is important. It allows children the opportunity to express themselves and process their world around them. It also gives children the opportunity its to excel in other subjects.

As long as my property taxes remain at these high levels I have a very clear expectation that the content at our schools will NOT be impacted.

One of the main reasons Ridgefield is a great town is because it has a great education system. Reducing education funds is acting against Ridgefield's best interests.

The art program is an essential part of the district's curriculum and should not be cut. Art enriches all aspects of learning and educational development. Don't cut this program!

Arts serve as a critical component of a child's learning and expression. It's unthinkable that arts programming would be cut in Ridgefield.

Art is just as important as any other subject. It brings out the creative and give the other side of the brain some exercise.

As an early childhood educator I believe arts is one of the foundations for learning. Children need this in there curriculum.

We need to find a better way to balance the budget without completely sacrificing the Arts. The future cost is too great for our children and our community.

There are many other things that could be cut from the budget. Why is it always the arts?

Please do not reduce the exposure kids have to Art, especially in elementary schools. It’s vital to develop well-rounded kids.

We need art now more than ever. Please look for other ways to save money outside of cutting elementary school programs. Thank you.
