The Cdc at WLAC has changed my professional life forever!

It is important that we recognize the need for child development as an important component of the educational process for young children and student teachers. It should be treated like any other discipline and the teachers should continue to maintain the status as any other faculty member.

I provide training to preschools with reduced staff education requirements currently and therefore reduced pay. The effects are demonstrable: high turnover, reduced quality of instruction, reduced innovation, reduced skill in serving diverse and special needs children, reduced effectiveness in supervision and training. CSULA must aim higher, be a beacon of quality. Do not reduce staff qualifications or pay.

This lab is a very important resource for parent/students.

All my children went to a CDC and it helped to make them who they are today. I love my CDC family at Los Angeles SouthWest College and stand strong with them!!!

Early Education is the most important of all disciplines.

Please retain faculty status for Child Care faculty.

In the words of the ELAC Academic Faculty President, faculty, and not classified staff, regardless of skill sets possessed, are needed to teach provide “a demonstration classroom experience for students completing observations as well as practicum hours, including coaching, guidance, and evaluation of students completing practicum coursework for certificates and degrees.”

Faculty and high quality teachers are definitely a must in these lab school situations!!

The District must maintain faculty status for these employees.

This is an amazing program that my child and I benefit from. She has learned how to socialize, write, spell and much much more. The quality of the program should stay as is or improve, NOT decrease.

The center is needed for our students who are in dire need of a qualified child care to leave their children. Without this center, our students will not be able to reach their academic goal. In addition, this center has produced to our future teachers with hands on experience by volunteering and working with our kids and staff in the center.
