National research (most recently the report on Transforming the Workforce for Children Birth-8) has shown that there is a vast difference in children's success related to teacher education, suggesting a BA for teachers is a minimum required.

The LATTC Child Development Laboratory School offers full-day programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Lab School's exemplary early childhood education model provides observation and participatory experiences for students preparing to be early childhood teachers, administrators. It also serves as a research site for the college. We need to keep, faculty at these 9 sites to continue, "High quality care" the children need and deserve.
