Surely, this facility shouldn't close until another is found !

There are too few of these facilities, not too many!

The council should be promoting sport, not taking away perfectly decent facilities.

We should be encouraging children to get active and providing more facitilies and choices, not tearing them down. Too many children are sat in front of computers all day. Find them an alternative, or don't tear it down.

I am totally in agreement with your views. As a member of U3A we will also lose our meeting spaces but it is more important to provide spaces for the young to use their energy constructively. I think the council -& the government- have got their priorities all wrong.

This would be shocking if these facilities closed !

To leave the community without these facilities is ridiculously shortsighted, leave them open until an alternative is available

The government are pushing to get kids into sport and build a health lifestyle for the future. Keeping kids out of trouble by giving them something constructive to do. Keep the building open.

Keep Lindisfarne sports hall open, needed for the enjoyment of many sports groups especially Alnwick Harriers, Come on Grant Davy, have a heart, if it was in Ashington you would never close it, treat North Northumberland the same as your wonderful South East of Northumberland, you know the place where you pump all the money into

As Chairman of Alnwick U3A and as a resident of Alnwick I am appalled at the lack of communication with users of Lindisfarne and the disregard for the provision of Community facilities

I strongly support this petition to protect key facilities within Alnwick and, as a councillor, will make representations that these facilities will not be lost in the relocation to the Duke's portfolio.

Well done to the Alnwick Harriers for highlighting this problem and to everyone who has looked after this facility. Junior hockey already has nowhere to train, and local children can't afford to lose any more sports facilities.

We should be investing in sport and education, not removing facilities without providing suitable alternatives.

These facilities must not be closed until good quality replacements are found - and that does not mean shoe-horning the sports into the Willowburn Centre which is already full.
