I belong to a group of over 55 ladies who use Lindisfarne each week for a keep fit class. We are constantly told if we exercise, it is beneficial and we are not a strain on the NHS......then you close Lindisfarne down...please think again.

I feel most strongly that the hall at Lindisfarne School should remain open. I have used the facility for several years for language classes and also for over 50 exercise class.

More housing in a town means more sports facilities and adequate provision in education - not less!

A fantastic, well used and much needed facility for the whole community. What a waste to loose it just because of the school closing.

It is vital that the facilities remain open until a permanent replacement is found.
There is a need for children to use these for physical reasons. It is so important that this country recognises the need to provide facilities in order to keep folk fit

This facility is absolutely vital for sporting clubs and societies for kids and out of school or school holidays right through to senior citizens. It would be a devastating loss to the community.

Instead of the Willowburn gym / The harriers and DCHS and other local schools should use Lindisfarne as a permanent facility. Maybe this could become a center of excellence with qualified staff to train interested parties.

This is another example of the County's current Labour administration's failure to consult. Its like demolishing a relatively new County Hall and moving it just a few miles at a cost of £32m for no extra jobs or economic benefit -the full story at http://www.morpethherald.co.uk/news/county-hall-let-s-look-at-the-full-story-1-8330048

Please don't make the catastrophically stupid decision to close the Lindisfarne facilities.

It would be a great shame to lose an indoor sports space in the Alnwick area as there are so few facilities for local sports clubs especially when the weather is not good. I volunteer as a football and rugby club and have used this facility in the winter months. As ever if such facilities are lost it is very rare that alternatives are put in to replace them. On top of the current demand with all the houses being built there surely is the need to maintain and even increase the facilities so that young people can be actively engaged in positive activities.
