I refused to put my son into this school after having a transitional meeting with their SENCO (my son has ASD). His former school rep accompanied us to the meeting stating all the support he required and what additional measures he needed. We were told in no uncertain terms, they couldn't provide those things for my son, they didn't have a designated person who he would be able to seek support from if he felt the need, and basically telling me there was no support to offer him.
I had to choose an alternative school away from most of his friends and further from home where he cold get the support he needed to do well a school.

The difference to the quality of teaching and the pastrol care given in this school compared to the school my son goes to in comparassion is shocking and needs looking into urgently with the pupils and parents included in the consultation to give a true account of how things are as opposed to the fairytale account given by those in authority .

I can't express how sad I am about this school. My child goes to this school and the emotional wellbeing of the children is very poor and I'm struggling to understand how this is still continuing. Surely someone at the Borough of Poole or Ofsted need to take action. A class were held in so they missed their break and as the kids are too scared to ask to use the toilet it meant they went for over 5 hours without the opportunity to use the toilet. Surely it is a human right to go to the toilet. Writing this comment brings tears to my eyes. My child is scared to go to school and I'm scared for her.

Well what can I say I had two children at this school without going into too much detail I had a daughter who tried to commit her suicide because she was not treated or had the support for her special needs my son was always trying to make himself sick and always said after school he was also going to commit suicide if anyone wants to contact me via my email

Ofsted and the school have a legal requirement to investigate matters of this nature when it comes to safeguarding the children. Eminently clear that Magna Academy has and is failing numerous students. My experience is similar to the comments so far. I am worried about my son in Year 7 under a regime based on fear, zero-tolerance and 'no-excuses'.
Punishments for minor infringements seem disproportionate, humiliating and inconsistently implemented. Certain teachers resent having to teach Year 7s, this is reflected in their attitude towards them.
Magna Acadamy may be aspirational but where is the inspiration?

My child is a type 1 diabetic and has epilepsy. She's under camhs for mental health. The school are terrible with care plans and understanding the child's needs, communication from the school to home is appalling and Mr tutt seems to think he's in the army. Whatever happened to respect and rights? Teachers demand respect but fail to give it. Mr tatt being the worst! My daughter was one of the children removed out of sight during ousted :-(

after battling with the school for 2 years i gave up and have moved my children to another school. Mr. tutt refuses to realise some children need a little extra help, but is willing to take their funding. every child is equal and should be treated with care and compassion.

I moved my son from this appalling school this year. I have so many complaints about them. My son has issues from hearing problems to dyspraxia. No help whatsoever. He has low self esteem and no confidence, so when I found out they name and shame the bottom 10 children that have "let the school down". Put up on a board for their faculty to see.Their words not mine. He was also ranked bottom of his year at this time too. Now I had asked and asked for help but got nowhere. They say the right things but never do them or provide them. I wrote to his head of faculty saying how appalled I was about the naming and shaming and ranking. Saying that it has made my child want to commit suicide. His words " I'm sorry he feels like that" . They don't care , it's all about the statistics and getting rid of the less fortunate and more challenging children will only improve these statistics. I could go on and on but it upsets me that so many children are being let down. Many friends are removing their children and others are not even sending them there. Ofsted seriously need looking into as well to have given them outstanding. When the teacher turn around is unbelievable
, if it's so great why are teachers leaving !!! Child protection policy was not correct with names when the inspected and is now completely out of date as teachers have left. How do they get away with not following the rules.

my child goes there, i know how utterly bad the school is, hiding kids that dont fit in from Ofsted.. teachers demand respect but most give none in return
