Having read all the comments my thoughts are with all those concerned. My daughter is due to attend this school in 2017 but definitely not if this continues. I really hope this makes a difference

I have seen first hand how the head and deputies speak to students, especially when Mr Heap was berating a student one morning outside school by shouting and pointing right in the boy's face which was humiliating and unnecessary. My child has had so many teacher changes- staff turnover seems to be very high and word has it that bullying tactics are directed towards both students and staff. There is a complete lack of regard for the people and their well-being. 'Outstanding' for all the wrong reasons...

My children have been going to this school since it was ashdown. My younest child has jutcone into the school and has been turned from a bright young person who loved school, into a nervous child who's frightened to make the slightest of mistakes in fear of being humiliated by certain leaders of this school. On the first day my child came home in silence and sat in the kitchen staring into space and wouldn't talk to anyone, which was completely out of character. Eventually my child broke down in tears saying how scared they were of certain teachers they had encountered. My child was so scared i had to talk to the teachers. Some of the teachers have been very understanding but others in higher levels have been very blasé and actually down right rude to me and to my child. They have been seen calling children liers which is totally unacceptable, they have been seen screaming at children and putting them in detention with line writing for petty reasons. I don't think this sets a good example to children. It doesn't teach them the right way to behave as an adult. Instilling fear in children who just want to learn is criminal as it's causing them to want to leave school. My children are now saying that they hate school. I'm heartbroken and very worried about what is going on behind closed doors in this school. Management need reeducating as to the needs of the modern day child. While discipline is good for children, instilling it via fear is extremely detrimental. I have also heard a child say they wanted to die as they had an item of clothing stolen and was too frightened to go into school without it as they knew they would be put in isolation and treated like a criminal. This is not a healthy environment. OFSTED NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION before a child does something silly due to the unprofessional behaviour of certain head/ deputy teachers

My fears of this school 1st started when my daughter came home from the intake day with 2 math GCSE papers and 2 other booklets of homework to do through the summer holidays to take in on their 1st day at the school. The 1st few days the school were in the press about over 40 pupils put in isolation not having the right length rulers, pencil cases etc. Fortunately this did not directly effect my daughter but was enough to scare her not to forget anything. She has been shouted at and reported by a member of staff in the corridor after her tutor told her to take food for cooking lesson to fridge during tutor time. I was then horrified to hear that after the recent tests they rank the children 1-178 in year 7 and 8 and display this on the wall! What on earth are they thinking? It's disgusting, humiliating & self destroying for those poor kids. The recent worry is they are being inspected for their trousers and my daughter feels intimidated walking down the corridor being stared at by staff. Having heard another 2 girls were put in isolation and 1 of them being made to change into skirt the school provided has pushed my daughter to breaking point as she is in fear that she will be shouted at, put in isolation and forced to wear a skirt etc for wearing trousers that are from the school range and I don't see a problem with. What this school is doing is very damaging and there are safe guarding issues here. They may think they are the best Poole school appart from Grammer schools but this could change over night if this emotional abuse continues. I am aware so many parents are unhappy with the well being of their children and something needs to be done. My daughter loved school before and now is a nervous wreck!

My son has always enjoyed school life and been an enthusiastic, bright pupil. After 12 weeks at Magna he has lost his confidence, sparkle and motivation. He is constantly worried about doing something wrong, or forgetting something and getting in to trouble. He has developed a fear of learning. I was delighted at all the achievements the school shouts about. But not any more Not at this cost. Magna is a joyless exam factory full of frightened children. I fear what sort of people our children will become if Magna continue their scaremongering tactics.

After watching the head Mr Tutt in the mornings as he studies the pupils going into school, it is clear he obviously has favourites. Numerous times I've seen pupils go past him that he's seen and never stopped when they have been wearing skirts too short or no jumper/ blazer, but nothing gets said to them, however he feels it's ok to stop a pupil who was wearing trainers as they were traveling to school on their bike and asked why they weren't wearing the correct footwear!!

The head teacher and his deputies are not only bullying the children reducing them to tears but they are also bullying the other teachers

I will happily start this off. My daughter has lost confidence since starting this school due to the over zealous disciplinary procedure in existence. Not the way to underpin the willingness to learn and achieve of the many. Not supporting Aspirations in the right way. The balance is wrong.
