"Hiding" children from Ofsted would certainly not go down well.

Care and compassion is bang on and this is what this petition starts with. Ruling through fear is not what should be occurring. Whether that is the children or indeed other teachers who want to flourish but perhaps that is not possible under such a leadership culture. It remains to be seen what can be improved through this process.

There certainly seems to be an attitude that selectively disregards the needs of certain pupils which is totally unacceptable based on various legal factors that are now embedded in legislation. Or at least that is what we are led to believe.

Seems there is a systemic approach to the use of the fear factor as opposed to other skill sets that all management teams should have. Respect starts at the top but should be mutual.

Being worried constantly about doing something wrong certainly undermines confidence. Especially if you are shouted at and treated like an inferior human being. Not what should happen at all.

Humiliation is certainly one way of putting it and it is incredibly sad to hear all these stories. Self Esteem seems to be being constantly knocked by fear. There is a way to progress and engage children who want to progress and the one you do not place at the top of the tree is fear. We hope together we will be stronger and enable some change to occur.

Being turned from a bright young person to someone that hates the school is exactly what shouldn't be happening and what is all too common from what we have heard. We await action for these matters to be addressed in a positive progressive manner. One which does not enlist another later of fear. Layers need to be removed.

We hope it makes a difference too. This is one of the biggest issues the majority of parents care about. The duty of care to their children and their safeguarding.

Thanks for your comment. For a school that is part of the Aspirations Academy trust, the elements that are inspirational to support a drive to aspiration seem limited and need enhancing. Greater results can be achieved through encouragement. Yes there needs to be discipline but not a fear factor that overrides everything, no matter what. There is a dire need for improvement.

The fear they are under does not help them flourish to their full potential. The fear factor seems to have gone too far and there are too many children that are scared for the wrong reasons and that can lead to emotional damage that at this age is hard to repair if it continues.

Thanks to everyone who has reached out to this petition. We are sorry to hear such stories. Please continue to spread the word about this petition. It is somewhere for anyone with a concern to raise a view knowing there are others that have a similar perspective. You know you are not on your own. This is only the beginning and we are looking for positive visible steps to be taken by the school plus an acknowledgement of what they intend to improve. This is a process for the good of all children not only at the school now but in the future as well.

I have two children at this school,my first is doing exceedingly well, I cannot fault her education ,my son has started this September he's doing ok ,the only thing I would like to say is that the school on a whole is too strict !, the mental effect it has on students is not so good ,my son who is a good lad now is constantly in fear "if he s forgot something" etc that he's going to get detention, seems very harsh ,and surely it's not always getting the best out of a pupil.................relax a bit!!!!!!

After seeing all these comments. I'm really not looking forward to my son going to magna in September next year. My son needs the support. And by the looks of it he won't be getting that help. It's disgusting. I will not have my son put down in anyway by any teachers. As for Mr tutt. He is makes me sick the way he stands outside the school in the mornings. Like he is some sergeant major. Somethink should be done. No pupil should have to be treated like dirt

The school is awful i was getting bullied but yet i got kicked out 2 months before my exams then they didnt even tell me when i had to be in, the a teacher mrs morgan told me i had to have a little chat with just me and her and ends up taking me in a room with social services! For no reason the school is to strict they care about publicity not students dont send your children here!!!

My Grandson, who does have minor issues, went to Magna on leaving Hilbourne. From the outset he was bullied by the teaching staff, with no quarter given with regard to his partial hearing loss, or even recovery from operations. His academic achievements suffered immeasurably. His parents, after numerous attempts to resolve these issues, were left with no alternative but to apply to a different school, Poole High for my grandson to continue achappier education. He has gone from a young lad who was literally afraid to go to school because of it's concentration camp authority, to a happy you man whose academic achievements have improved thousand fold, but who now looks forward to school, and is a very much happier person in general.

I am a student a find that this school need a lecture and children's rights and emotional and mental health awareness

I was told they did not have to provide my son with special needs and he was just left to sit in class with no help

apparently the money allocated for special needs children, he spent on an attendance bus.....
