I oppose this scheme for the environmental and social problems it will bring including possible ground water pollution and depletion; possible air pollution and certain putrid odor, the importation of low income workers whose so-so pay and benefits are likely to put them on the public dole l, especially because of high turnover nationally in such strenuous and risky work. In addition, the willing acceptance of such a slaughterhouse and the large-scale industrial agriculture partners it needs will justifiably give Great Falls the image of Montana’s arm pit, irreparably harming recent efforts to recruit clean medical, retail, industrial and tourist related business.

I am totally against this big operation and would likely leave Great Falls area if this is built.

Say NO to the Canadian slaughterhouse

Small Local processors make sense. Bigger is NOT better

From what I understand of the proposal, I believe this to be way too big of an operation to be in our community. I do not think the Great Falls area will be able to support the large injection of workers. I fear our housing, schooling and medical will not support it. This is something that will need massive improvements in the above areas to be sustainable. Even with all the planning and infrastructure improvements to our area, I still feel like it will be a burden on our community. When I first heard of this project, I was in support. Then I saw the sheer size and it turned me off. While we do need something like the Madison Project, I believe this is too far off to have any benefit to our community. I cannot find any upsides for our community in the short or long term. In fact, I can only see the downside to bringing this in. Please take my opinion into consideration. I am a middle aged business owner in Great Falls so it is definitely in my interest to see growth in any way for our community. However, I also live here and plan to be around for a long time. My heart is in Great Falls.

This is nothing but greed!!! Hurting the environment for generations to come is the most unamerican and non patriotic action one can do. Never mind the cruelty to the animals.

The slaughter house isn’t worth sacrificing our community.

We don’t need this in great falls. It is disgusting.

This is what "bringing good jobs" to Montana looks like, aren't you excited? In order to sure up the supply chain we have to build the biggest slaughterhouse in America, just to be safe? No. Why can't we support individual, local, small butchers and meat processing on a community serving scale? Why can't we support 30 small operations instead of one giant pollution source that is inhumane and will ruin any hopes for growth in the area? Whose idea was this? Do you loathe Great Falls and the people there? Is this what their future should entail? I see Montana is one horrible project after another. Last week was a new copper mine on the Smith River, which feeds into the Missouri as well! Do politicians hate the land and the water and the people so much they will destroy them all just to make money now? Who is the brains behind this? Where do they live? Montana is going to be an industrial waste dump by the time our grandchildren are grown.

If this slaughterhouse comes to Great Falls, I will be moving elsewhere after I retire in 2 years. I don't want to live in an ugly, polluted community.

This Horrible proposal will bring more harm than good to this community that I live in. We also don't need to be bringing more businesses that spread covid by bad business policies.

The slaughterhouse will have negative impact on GF and surrounding area. Our main thoroughfare, 10th Ave S., cannot handle the trucking traffic, which will be constant. The burden on the street and the odor is detrimental to our way of life.

Keep Great Falls clean.
