After driving past feedlots in the midwest, we do NOT want this! A thorough EIS will show the costs will far outweigh any benefits to Montana. If it is such a good opportunity why isn’t Friesen building it in Canada?

Madison Food Park will do nothing but harm the growth that Great Falls has made towards being a more beautiful city for its residents and its visitors. Whenever I have to drive cross country I avoid Texas during the summer like the plague because of the stench of the slaughterhouses and processing plants. People will avoid GF too if that’s what they are greeted with. It will no longer be BASECAMP, people will DECAMP.

I want slaughter houses to stop killing cows, pigs, chickens, and horses. It is inhumane and horrible. I would rather go vegan then eat meat.

This is absolutely going to be a detriment to this community. Please turn down the proposal for This slaughterhouse and support a culture of local business and community.

Hi! A few years ago my mom, Stacy hermiller put together a huge legal team to try and stop this issue. We lived right across the road from where Freisen Foods was planning to build a massive slaughterhouse. We eventually had to move because of this. Luckily, they were able to prevent it from being built back in 2016. It’s heartbreaking to see that this is still an issue. No slaughterhouse in the Falls!!

This will destroy the community. There are other ways to create sustainable economic development with farm to table, small local businesses; we have a FedEx and airport here and can encourage a locally built brand that ships across the country; organic farming in the 21st century does not include CAFO's; we don't need a slaughterhouse.

Governor, follow up the request of the Great Falls community. The damages can be profound to the people living in this region. Be sure to do the right thing and ensure that all impact studies are done before such a project begins.

Small locally owned animal processing is the way to go, this mega plant is not what Montana food production is all about.

I was hoping this idea had died.
This is not the kind of business we need to support....small meat processing plants are a much better idea.
