My name is Madeline Frisk (she/her) and I’m running for Vice President at large as a part of the democracy slate. I am new to Union organizing but have loved getting to be involved in the coalition of unions at Portland State University. I bring the knowledge of working with student leaders in student government and in student clubs and I see how passionate they are to create change so it made me want to take more action and get engaged in this work. Work that helps higher Ed and education employees can only help the students we serve to also feel more motivated in creating change and it would be great to connect with both the AFT-OR members present here as well as those in our communities who could benefit from our advocacy.
