This isn’t right. Maddie doesn’t deserve this punishment. This is the reason why I never liked kelso in the first place. They simple don’t care. They just care that they are getting paid. School isn’t even about learning now days. It’s more about grades and that’s not right. They need to step up and do something about this!!!

This student deserves to complete her education! It is made clear the teacher is being snide and do it out of spite.

It’s extremely unfair that KHS is keeping a girl from graduating when she’s worked 12 years for this over her speaking out about unfair treatment. This as well is unfair and not okay.

This is sickening. She is so hard working and involved. I can’t beleive she is expelled over something so little, and ridiculous. They really need to rethink this before this takes them to court.

She has it on film turning in assignments that the teacher “claims” she did not turn in. Isn’t that proof she isn’t lying?

No one deserves this punishment for something so small compared to other things that have been much more destructive.

That kid could actually have a case to sue the teacher and kelso school district. With all the other kids the teacher has failed it would be a simple win. Kelso has always treater students as less. Funny thing is, when i graduated, I did lcc as well, ot seems like Kelso teachers hate running start students. High school is easy for some and hard for some, but never denie anyone from graduating with their class. It just seems criminal. And if she can't, Kelso is criminal.

The consequences Maddie is facing are way more severe than they should be. She should be able to graduate with her class this year.

This is the exact reason I failed her class. I tried talking to counselors and other teachers about it and all I was told was to “stop making excuses”.

That's way too extreme to expel a kid that was just trying to graduate and be a good kid, and made one social media mistake

It is sad that teachers are allowed to bully their students. The schools defend the teacher instead of the student and it is wrong. I personally have a child who was bullied by his fifth grade teacher. I also know that a different teacher got into trouble for bullying at one school so now works at another. This is unacceptable. Things need to change. We need to protect our children. These children are our future. What are we teaching them if its ok for teachers to bully students, but not ok for students to defend themselves. This poor girl deserves to graduate with her class. We as a community need to demand that things change in our school district. WE ARE KELSO
There is no reason for her not to graduate
