Maybe we should reevaluate what we punish our students for. We do have civil rights and freedom of speech or in this case freedom to post is one of our rights and shouldnt result in something that affects someone's future when it is this small. Maybe the kids with the video should be expelled?

it’s hypocritical by the school to even think to expel her. i’ve been harassed and intimidated by an out of district student and nothing was done. the fact that maddison’s post had nothing to do with HIB gives no reason to expel her. our school is bias towards some kids and Maddison deserves to have her case fairly examined before a decision like that it made.

the teacher you’re speaking of isn’t mentally fit to be teaching highschool and the administrators at kelso high are honestly disgusting. students who have gotten caught with DRUGS on them AT school have only been suspended not expelled. students who have FELONY CHARGES for fighting kids AT school STILL attend the school. simply a let down the older generation is getting distraught over SOCIAL MEDIA lol who are the role models anymore

Graduated class of 2017. This teacher has definitely done things like this to a lot of people and nobody should be expelled for a harmless post when every day people are bullied and harrassed online in harmful ways with nothing being done. Not only that but staff and administrators get away with not giving students the help they need before situations escalate just based on the fact they’ve known a teacher for so long.
