Macy's Minneapolis 8th Floor Holiday Display: Change It Again

Ever since I was a little girl I looked forward to the unveiling of the theme. My daughter and loved coming to the 8th floor. I have not brought my grandchildren because the theme has not changed. Please change it so I can enjoy the 8th floor with my grandchildren!!

Ever since I can remember I have been going to the Macy's holiday display. Please bring the excitement of new yearly displays back! This is such a fun tradition to get to experience and bring new people to every year, but its difficult to get excited to come all the way downtown to see the same thing for the past 6 years.

Please return to the tradition of a different story each year. This was always a special treat. The elf theme was cute the first year. It is time for something new! Thanks!

Please stop with the boring same display & bring back the fun tradition of a unique, creative display as done prior to the boring elf series.

I have always loved the Macy's/Marshall Fields/Macy's display; it was truly magical! I went with my parents as a child, with my friends in high school and college, and with my husband and daughter more recently. My fear is that Macy's is just trying to run the "Elf" into the ground before discontinuing the display altogether. It's definitely time for a new display. I realize the display is expensive, but it is a memorable and much-loved local tradition that brings people to the downtown Macy's not only to see the display, but also to shop, eat, and spend money! We haven't gone for several years now because we've seen enough of the "Elf." Please don't let this marvelous tradition die; revive it with a new display!

The Dayton's 8th Floor was always a part of my childhood Christmas and left me with wonderful memories...memories I plan to help create for my 4 year old niece by visiting the Christmas display. I'm sad to hear the display won't change, but will still plan to make this part of our holiday tradition. Please dust off some of the amazing displays from years past and help a new generation create amazing memories. Thank you.

Would love to make this an annual tradition AGAIN. We haven't gone since 2010! Please create something special for all ages!

It has been one of our family's favorite traditions. We have stopped going since they have not changed it. :(

Please change the exhibit. It is a great memory of mine as a child and I am very sad my kids don't have the same memory. Thank you.

Went every year but stop going because we are tired of the day in the life of an elf---miss the yearly displays. Time for a new one!!!

As a Macy's employee, I know the company touts the "magic" of the company to bring customers back. But after 7 years, you've lost the magic of "A Day in the Life of an Elf." I have no plans to go downtown to see the same thing yet again -- which was pretty ho-hum to begin with. Sorry, Macy's, but until you can switch it up a bit, I'll be spending my holiday money elsewhere.

"Dayton's" is a part of our family tradition and we really love and appreciate it. we were hoping it could be like the old days and get changed every year for the last three years we tried to take the new generation of kids and they get bored with the same thing every year it was so magical and such an amazing family tradition please bring it back to the holiday displays. such exiting experience to looking forword the change!

This display is adorable but maybe a rotation of a couple different stories could work and still save cost.

i know it cost a lot but maybe if you have fundraiser or go fund me.

Please change the display. Loved the yearly change. This displays lustre is gone.
