Macy's Minneapolis 8th Floor Holiday Display: Change It Again

I just moved back to MN, so my children will enjoy it for the first time this year, but next year--it will be less thrilling. Please bring back the changes. I remember seeing Fiddler on the Roof one year.

We have had to change our holiday tradition because the kids are so tired of seeing the same display. I did notice a few changes the last time we went. But in return for the money, effort & floor space, I'd think they would want to increase traffic into the store & restaurants. Right after Macy's decided to keep Downtown Minneapolis open as a flagship. You'd think they would really want to earn their keep with Macy's headquarters in NY. What a huge opportunity they are letting slip through their fingers!

Please change!

I have gone to see the 8th floor auditorium every year of my life until last year. I am sick the same old display. It on not worth the time or money to park. We used to make a whole day out of shopping, eating at the macys restaurant, and if course the 8th floor display. That tradition has sadly come to an end. I don't see a reason to return to downtown Macy's any time of year.

Everyone has said it- a ruined tradition and NOT what customers want.

I'm 55 years old. I've been going since I was 3. It is our MN heritage. I raised my two adult daughter's to love the tradition. They will do the same for their children. Give them something you are proud of. Something that will give them the best holiday memories. Give them a reason to love Macy's. Mr. Dayton would be so proud of you

This is just so sad that Macy's took over what was such a HUGE part of many families Christmas in Minnesota. I remember it so fondly and my kids used to look forward to going. Now...we don't even bother. This is a HUGE loss for Minneapolis and Macy's as a whole. Is lack of fund, or effort? I think it is effort as their stores display chaos and their inability to keep up with any cleaning efforts. The stores are dirty, disorganized and the staff is not polished like we used to have to be. What a shame.

Needs to change!! my kids are getting so board with it! Every year they says why the same thing! When will it Change mom!

You're kind of ruining a Christmas tradition. Please get with it!

We took our children to Dayton's every year to see the beautiful Christmas animation on the 8th floor. Then when we had grandchildren we started bringing them there. Now we are taking them to the same thing every year and have been waiting for something new for so long. It is so sad to see this tradition end.

Change the 8th floor!!!!

I've gone every year since I was born, but this is ridiculous. Not only has it not changed, but you seem to be scrimping more and more each year. This is an important opportunity for kids to experience something magical over the holidays (and an opportunity for their parents to spend money in your store) so treat this like the investment it really is and put some effort into this again!

Please bring back our tradition

I'm pregnant with my first child and, as the holiday season approaches, I think back to the many, many times my family and I would wait in line for Dayton's 8th Floor. I want those same, changing memories for my kids. Please change it back to my childhood memories!

Why go more than once if it is always the same?? We used to go every year. Not any more. I feel the loss of a holiday tradition

Please change it. It becomes old and mundane seeing the same thing every year. It's like watching a tree grow, we all know what it looks like.

Please change it!! This is always something I looked forward to as a child and want to take my kids to, but won't take them as it is always the same display! Boring and it is really time for a change!!
