Sad to see that they are only worried about saving money. I for one wont be spending money to see the same thing every year. Hopefully eventually you will notice you aren't making as much money as you could from all the valued customers that dont want to spend money on the lack of imagination and the same story every year.

There are a number of Macy's around the country. Ship the Elf to another one and bring in another theme. This can be done on a rotating basis to re-use the props while still bringing in the new.
Keep this Christmas tradition alive!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change the display each year like in seasons past -- it was such a magical event to go to every year. The "Day in the life of an Elf" was magical the FIRST YEAR and has since overstayed its welcome. Please bring this long standing MN tradition back to life!!!

Please consider changing the display. Even if you had 2 displays in rotation it would be better than nothing!

This is getting old. Please change the display already. A family tradition that has gone stale, disappointed in Macy's.

Many people have gone to the 8th floor at which was once Dayton's downtown Minneapolis, MN; and now is Macy's, during the Christmas season. These animated Christmas stories not only brings in thousands of people; but, brings in sales for Macy's and other stores in downtown. Many of these people would not shop downtown Minneapolis if it was not the yearly change of these stories. We brought our children, grandchildren and it gets passed down the generations. Why would you not want to change these 8th floor displays of stories.

Change it again, it was a part of our tradition that you've made dull.

I've been going every year since I was a little girl, but stopped when Macy's stopped changing the display every year. I'd like to take my husband and our future children someday, but won't as long as it doesn't change.

I agree that they can change this every year. They don't need to charge as well. They have their Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York it would be nice if they also had one here. I sign this petiton as my dad used to do the window decorations when it was Dayton's.

It was a nice display the first couple of years, but we no longer have the desire to find time for the same old thing year after year, we find other Holiday happenings instead!

Surely Macy's can afford to be benevolent this yr. & demonstrate Good Will & the Holiday spirit by switching up the 8th floor auditorium Holiday exhibition! Hear ye, hear ye ...

I grew up going to the 8th floor displays and took my kids when they were little. The fact that you even dare say "back due to popular demand" makes me never want to set foot in a Macy's store. Please either just stop the display entirely, or make it into something special again!

Please bring back the change of displays on the 8th floor in downtown Minneapolis Minnesota! I'm a lifetime resident in Minneapolis Minnesota and have always enjoyed sharing this event with our family every year until Macy's took it over and has refused to change the scene. My family and I have refused to shop at Macy's because of this.

Even if there's simply a three-five year cycle of displays, at least they wouldn't be exactly the same every year. It's gotten so boring.

Please change the 8th floor display each year and keep the holiday tradition alive. I used to make a day of it and specifically shop there to return the loyalty for doing the 8th floor display. Knowing the cost of time and money that was put into these efforts. I would also bring relatives from out of town, that now have already seen it year to year, and no longer want to see the same one again. Now, I shop in the burbs, where I live, and other department stores are closer or just as easy for me to shop at.
