Please change the display. Plenty of colleges around the area that could have prop/costume designers from productions help create the display!

As a child I loved the changing displays. Now that I have kids it would be nice to share this with them, but even kids know when they have seen something before.

Display NEEDS to be changed. We won't go because it's the same every year.....it used to be a family tradition but not anymore:(

We have went to the display since we had kids 16 years ago, following the tradition of my husband's family since his mother was little. It was a great traditional and grew to 48 of us yearly going. We have stopped since they have not changed the display. Please consider changing the diplay, I think you would bring back such traditions and business back to the area.

Please change this! I would like to be able to bring my grandkids every year but they find it to boring seeing the same thing every year.

PLEASE change the theme...loosing the fond memories of how exciting it used to be when we could be suprised and see something new each year.

Macy's does not seem to know (or care) that they have ruined what was a favorite tradition of a lot of Minnesotans and Minneapolitans growing up. The head honchos at Macy's (if this decision was made at the national corporate level) only seem to care about saving money, and uniformity as well (R.I.P. Dayton's, Hudson's, and Marshall Field's).

I have been taking my kids since they where babies and would love even a little variation.

The 8th floor display has been a tradition for many families and what made it special was that it was a different theme every year. You never wanted to miss it. Now, with the very tired elf theme, many families don't go anymore. It's not fun. It is no longer unique. Macy's- please take some time to think about what this community needs, which is a store to care about putting the community before the all mighty dollar.

Please change the display. I grew up looking forward to a different display every year and now it's all the same, every, single, year, which saddens my heart and bores my children.... Please reconsider reviving the traditions of old!

Ever since you stopped changing thr 8th floor auditorium display, my family has stopped going down to visit Santa and the display every year. It was a family tradition that brought paying customers in the door which I thought is what businesses wanted.

As a child, I always waited with great anticipation for the announcement of the 8th Floor Auditorium Holiday Show. Each year, a new story greeted me and brought special magic to my holiday season. Please, Macy's, give us a reason to return to Downtown Minneapolis during the holiday season so I can see my kids' faces light as mine did, once up on a time. This is my Christmas wish.

I used to come here all the time as a kid! The fun of it was there was something new every year! I feel like each generation could get into it, and it seemed so magical! Now it isn't magical, as it is the same thing every year. I think you could get enough donations every year to do something new once in a while.

This was something I used to enjoy coming to every year as a child and I used to take my own kids, but we haven't been back since the theme doesn't change anymore. It's so sad.

yes, please change the theme. have come downtown for 40 years, first as a kid, then brought my own kids, now, my grandkids. it is no fun when the theme does not change. the kids remember. they expect something new.

Time for a change Macy. This has gotten really old. My favorite part of Christmas was going downtown and seeing the 8th floor, and you took that away?

This was always a family tradition until Macy's took over. Now I haven't gone in 6 years
