Please change this display. You are ruining our family traditions of the excitement and magic of seeing a beloved story come to life. There was always an excitement about which story would we be seeing next. It breaks my heart that this is all gone and my children cannot experience this! Changing a window here and there doesn't cut it. I have stopped shopping at Macy's because of this. If Macy's is never going to change the display again, just call it what it is - that you don't want to spend the money on creating a new display each year despite what your customers want. Please stop saying that Macy's is trying to create a new Christmas tradition. You know perfectly well why we want a DIFFERENT display each year, so quit ignoring us and directly address our concerns. It is just a slap in the face to us loyal customers who spent the day going to see the display and the spending A LOT of money gift shopping afterward. Again, please change the display. The elf thing is really old. If Macy's cannot do this for their loyal customers, then why should we bother spending our hard earned money at your stores? Charge a couple of bucks if you need to.

Please bring back the magic displays I remember as a kid it was a tradition to go see them. What seems like forever that magic Christmas spark has been gone. The Harry Potter themed displays that you set up years and years ago was something I'll always remember, and all the many others before that. Please give kids today a chance to see something they will always remember and start a new generation of tradition!

When I was a little girl, we would go downtown on Thanksgiving evening. We would walk outside and look at all the windows dressed up with animated scenes. It was such a wonderful memory. Then they started the auditorium animation. We need to see a change in the production. The grandkids want this to be a tradition but they don't want to keep seeing the same thing year after year. Please give us something new.

I remember as a child going to Dayton's 8th floor to see the different Christmas displays and santa. I am saddened I cannot carry on the same tradition with my children - there are only so many times I can walk through the same exact Elf story. Please change the display.

Please change up the display. If the reason for the unchanging display is due to financial reasons, you could set a door fee. We are willing to pay a price. Thank you!

As a child and a adult this is an event that I look forward to. It's a little piece of the holiday that really makes Christmas magical. Now that I have 2 kids of my own I want to have that for them as well. I looked forward to a creative new change of story every year. Please don't take this magic away. What is it going to take to bring it back?

My brother and I grew up in a small town about 5 hours north of Minneapolis. Every Christmas season my parents would plan a special trip down to the Twin Cities for gathering with family, Christmas shopping, and the main event -- the 8th floor Christmas Display!!! I remember we would be SO EXCITED to hear what the theme would be that year (The Harry Potter display almost killed us we were so excited!!!!). Waiting in line for hours, even as little kids, it didn't matter, we were just so excited to see what had been created for that year! Now that I have a child of my own, it saddens me to learn that there will no longer be a new storyline for her to follow, to anticipate year after year. What a truly unique and wonderful holiday tradition we once had... I hope we can bring it back soon.

Coming to see this display was one of the best holiday traditions we had when I was growing up. Now that I have a baby of my own, I so want him to be able to experience the joy and wonder of the changing characters. Come on, Macy's! We know you're no Dayton's, but you can do better than this.

I've gone since I was a little girl, my mom brought me every year for my December Birthday and now that I've had kids I can't keep the tradition up. We are tired of the elves every year! so sad
