It would be nice to see a new display every year. Since kids already know what they will see on the display and magic of something new is not there anymore

Going to Daytons/Macys to see the 8th floor display was a tradition for my family when I was a child and then for my children. Sadly that tradition has ended as my children no longer see the need to go. They are tired of the same display and miss the excitement of seeing a new display every year.

Macys! Pay attention...Minnesotans are trying to get your attention. BUSINESS SENSE: You know, word would get around if you change up the 8th floor holiday display...You will get plenty of business from out of town....I am, and have always been from the outlying areas of MN and coming to Daytons/Macy's was a real treat. Stop neglecting this sweet tradition! Also I am sure there are plenty of artists out there anxious to help rebuild new displays. (I would)!! Jean Foster

Please change the display. Now that there is no Holidazzle Parade I have no reason to come to Minneapolis to see the Macy's display if it is going to be the same display I have seen the past 7 or 8 years. I heard stories of how they used to change the display and if it were to be different every year I would be excited to come see it.

Don't be so CHEAP! Show Midwesterners that you East Coast elitists have a little class, and CHANGE THE XMAS DISPLAY!!!!! I won't be back to Macy's until you change it!!!!!!!

We started coming down yearly when after I had my 1st kid...we stopped a few years back when you stopped changing the display. :(

I went to this as a kid every year, but the last 4 years we have not gone because Macy's will not change it.

One of my greatest joys growing up was the annual change. The story the plot. Having my dad carry me from place to place. I want to share this with my future kids which isn't that far off.

Yes please, I visited the display with my family when we first moved to mpls back in 1986, and it became a tradition for my wife and I during the holidays before we got married. I'd love to bring my kids to see it more than once, please.

Change it every year. Period. I haven't been back downtown during the Christmas shopping season since I saw this repeated in 2009. We're done.

I so wish you'd change the theme! It used to be something we looked forward to every year. We'd eat at the Inn next door. Please change it! Make it something special!

I hear nothing but poor things about the 8th floor of Macy's when Christmas approaches... 2012 was the last time my family went downtown to shop at Macy's... and I stopped going myself two years ago when I heard the holidazzle parade was cancelled. I'm very disappointed in how they treat this location - they need to give us the old magic back, otherwise its not worth all the nuisance for driving downtown, paying all that for parking, and the crowds.
Though honestly, there isn't any problem with crowds anymore down there. Can't imagine why.

Use to be fun and exciting kids loved it when it was Daytons and the theme changed each year it kept us on our toes- kids are bored with this don't even want to go here anymore. Use to jump on the light rail at the MOA ride down go thru the display see Santa get pictures have lunch and head home before rush hour. No more is this a tradition as boring as this is the train ride is all the excitement now! Come on your Macy's stop slacking !!!! Give the public something to rave about..... I wish Daytons was never sold!!!!!

It was always a joy every year as a kid to come and see the fun new theme each year. Now it is no longer a highlight of my Christmas because this "day in the life of an elf" has never really been one of my favorites. Something new each year would be fun again. Please change it. :)

Please change the theme! You can move the elves to another city who isn't tired of them.
We don't even bother to go anymore. We used to do every year, and he's also spend money in your store while we were there.

This used to be a tradition in our family. Sadly the kids do not want to see it anymore, we loved the excitement of what display would be next. We would love to come back when it is changed but until then we have been trying to make new memories elsewhere.
