I would love to have a new display every year. It could bring so much business to the downtown.

I grew up going to see this every year until I moved in my twenties. I took kids I babysat for to this and my younger cousins as well. I have even taken one of my two children now. I would like to take my second child to it. But if you are not going to change the theme I won't be coming to see it when we come back to visit my family for Christmas. Every year my husband and children come back to MN to visit my family back in MN and go to the 8th floor event. I took my husband to see if before we had kids even, to show him one of tje any things I did as a tradition growing up as a kid. This is one of the things that has changed that I would hope you would understand how important it is to us MNs and how we enjoy this and passing the joy down to our children. Thank you for your time.

Even kids get tired of 9 years of the same thing . It was a chance to visit downtown and spend time with my kids in a holiday setting. They no longer want to go to the 8th floor so there is no reason to shop downtown. I'm going to start shopping Ridgedale where the new Nordstroms is.

We will most likely not be making our annual downtown Macy's visit with lunch in the oak room because it is no longer special. I grew up in Chicago, going to see the display windows at Marshall Fields and my husband grew up here going to see the 8th floor. This stagnant tradition is disappointing.

Such a magical piece of my childhood. Would love to be taking my kids there and starting our own family tradition of seeing a new show every year.

Please embrace our community by keeping this tradition. We have embraced Macy's.

Going to the 8th Floor was a favorite childhood memory of mine and couldn't wait to share it with my children...until they stopped changing the display. Now none of us want to go. Sad.

A wonderful event to take the family! It would be nice to see it change. It's a no brainier it would increase foot traffic and increase sales.

I used to look forward to a new exhibit every year. Now I don't bother to go to the downtown Macy's because I have seen The Day in the Lift of an Elf several times. This means I don't spend money in your store any more!

This is one of my favorite memories of childhood. Changing to a new story each year is the tradition.

My family has visited every holiday since 1999 to see this display as part of our traditions. PLEASE give us something new to see this year!

This is the most boring display ever. I have been going to 8th floor for many many years, and stopped after the Elves were there for a 2nd year. This tradition has halted for me. I would love to resurrect it...but I cannot endure that horrible display again.

Used to go every year. Saw the elves once and haven't been back since.

Change it, so I can continue this wonderful tradition with my son. My favorite memories are Of going to Daytons 8th Floor for Christmas. Macy's is ruining everything and no one likes the show in the first place! Stop being cheap.

Traditions are important in Minneapolis, just as they are in New York and Chicago.

We would like to see the old tradition back. We all look forward to the "surprise" display of 8th floor at Macy's. It was a family tradition to view the display together as a family! Please bring in a new display.

This was a tradition growing up. I would love to pass it on to my kids. We don't go downtown anymore... we used to make a day of it. Have lunch and buy our Christmas ornaments at the same time.
