I'd like to see this get passed, I've gotten multiple tickets for my "aftermarket exhaust" and having no front plate.

Even with neither of these modifications done to my car currently, I fully support this change.

I ride a motorcycle, and also agree if it doesn't have a front plate why should my car? It most likely will not make or break a suspect being caught if that's the whole point. And it's a waste of resources. Also front plates completely ruin the look of a car (for those that appreciate the beauty in engineering and design). I also have aftermarket exhaust on both my car and bike and I am a FIRM believer that exhaust saves lives!

I agree with all of the points in this petition. Returning the front plates that aren't really necessary to have and reusing them for new plates and less expensive vanity plates would be nice. And the whole exhaust system issue should have been fixed years ago. I mean if a car reaches 25 years it doesn't even matter if it passes emissions so why if the exhaust rots away after 2 or 3 years shouldn't you be allowed to buy something that is going to last without being penalized for it if it was that smarter or cheaper way to fix the issue.

It's good to see this idea posed with a legitimate argument.

American people are being squeezed to death with so many no nonsense laws and rules. Light.n up a little for god sakes. There are certain things that require enforcement. Some however, is merely a power trip.

Agreed to this petition. As the law is written, any exhaust components not OEM from day of purchase are "legal". Law should be rewritten to allow replacement exhaust components with OEM or aftermarket parts.

I support this petition that supports a vehicle owners rights to modify their exhaust and operate there vehicle without a front license plate.

front plates use to be optional, and a lot of cars these days are not designed to have a front mount plate unless holes are to be drilled into the bumper or custom brackets are made.
Aftermarket exhaust is just a way to make a car sound more appealing to the owner, most older cars are way louder than newer ones.

It shouldn't be a crime for people to cleared about their cars that includes exhaust systems. As well as if the front plate law applies to some and not all that seems unfair so either make it happen for everyone including noted cycles and old vintage plates or get rid of the not needed front plates of vehicles.
