I believe those who vote on legislature, should keep in mind that the vehicle customization industry produces billions of dollars in spending. Creating bills like this, inhibit entrepreneurs, and decrease the incoming tax dollars (which we can agree is not in abundance).

If Harleys can have them n not get pulled over cause its a American bike. I can't see the reason why cars can't. I have one on my gsxr so I'm not hating on bikes all I'm saying is that all cops have there favorites

Having the freedom to modify a car a buyer owns is what we want. Sure there should be limitations on lowering, heightening, vehicle width, etc. But an exhaust, quiet or loud, should be ok to have. No need to keep people from having some fun :3 thank you and have a nice day.

My motorcycle doesnt have front plates what justifies my car needing one on the front end

I am a very responsible driver with a perfect driving record for eight years. Why can't I have an aftermarket exhaust in this state? I hear motorcycles drive by my house every single day during Spring, Summer, and Fall, and they are so much louder than cars whose drivers get fined for having aftermarket exhausts. It makes me angry that I cannot have an exhaust that is only slightly louder than my current one. I cannot believe this inconsistency in MA law. Why is it legal to install one, but MA cops can fine you for driving with one. My current exhaust pipe is rusted after 6 months. A brand new car. So I need to continue to replace these cheap rusty pipes every year? I should be able to buy stainless steel aftermarket exhaust and drive without being in fear of getting accused of breaking a law.
