motorcycles use drag pipes and other means of louder exhausts to obtain the ability to be acknowledged by motorists by sound, much like a fire truck/ police car's siren.

We should only need rear plates, and aftermarket exhaust should be allowed

Harley Davidson bikes sound way louder than any car with an aftermarket exhaust. Why dont they get pulled over instead of us ?

Aftermarket exhausts can increase efficiency dramatically, and can be more durable than stock exhausts.

If a car is safe and passes inspection, what does exhaust have to do with anything? Car enthusiasts love it

i think there shouldnt be any issues with an aftermarket exhaust due to the fact that harleys arent getting any quieter and they come like that factory!!

It is unfair that trucks and motorcycles are able to get away with having aftermarket exhausts. If a car passes inspection, why should it matter if the exhaust isn't factory?

I support the aftermarket exhaust because, We all see Harley Davidson's on the road that are excessively loud and not one thing is done. Yes I know they are permitted but the fact remains that a car with a aftermarket exhaust is not as equally as loud as a Harley.

As long as the aftermarket exhaust passes inspection there should be no penalties on us! I don't see big trucks getting pulled over for loud exhausts but if an import has an exhaust it's the end of the world. Stop the descrimination!

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF BEING SINGLED OUT FOR THESE! There's no stock mounting place on my front bumper and being forced to ruin the paint for a front plate is absurd! Exhausts help air flow and can get more air out quickly which means they are more healthy for the vehicle too! Hopefully this will put an end to it!

Aftermarket exhausts improve engine performance and generally create more horsepower, therefore they are needed. And as for front license plates, if your car doesn't have front screws for it then you shouldn't need it.

Tired of taking my front plates off every time I go to car wash because they end up all bent from the powerful driers.

I agree with Masstuning's statements. By running 1 license plate, the state would save in both material cost, human labor, and be able to recycle the mass amount of current front plates to also bring in revenue.
For after market exhausts, stock exhausts can only last so long especially in our New England weather, by allowing vehicles to run after market exhausts does not mean less emission restrictions, but allowing people to make their cars more fuel efficient for daily use, in turn helping the "go-green" movement.
