Luis Acosta for Garden Ridge Principal

I can not understand why Mr. Acosta was not chosen and feel it was a mistake. He is a great leader at Garden Ridge and I believe this decision should be reevaluated.

First Class Example of a Administrator who cares for the students and the Staff who teach our Children! Sad news if he is passed over for the Principle positing

Our school needs this man! He is such a great asset and leader!

We love him, and he is why we love Garden Ridge!

He is our school. He makes Garden Ridge special!

Mr. Acosta is the best gem within LISD. He is always positive no matter the weather or negative people around him. He remembers all our 4 kids (even though only 2 have gone there with 1 attending). We have a child at another LISD elementary school and can say that Mr. Acosta's positive and cheerful attitude is above that school's leadership as well. If he is not selected, we can guess where LISD leadership is headed.

I don't believe there is a more qualified candidate for the position of Principal at Garden Ridge Elementary, I believe it would be a devastating loss for not only the current students and families of garden ridge but also the future students and families that will attend garden ridge to lose Mr.Acosta, Personally I am yet to meet a more dedicated Vice Principal than Luis Acosta his actions over the years have proven his dedication to his students their families the staff and the school in countless ways, I would hope the District will take this petition and its comments into consideration before making the final decision for the new Principal of Garden Ridge Elementary, Sincerest regards Joshua Carter.

This man is what makes Garden Ridge great! He has been the face of the school for the past several years. I've never seen such a great communicator with parents and teacher. He knows our whole family as individuals, and I think this is an outrageous mistake by LISD. Mr. Van Horne has been our school's only principal. To take him and Mr. Acosta away is quite devastating to these little ones ranging from 5-12. You are turning their world upside down. I hope there is something to be done. We don't want to be part of a Garden Ridge where Mr. Acosta isn't present!

Mr. Acosta is a fantastic leader at GRE and would be a wonderful choice to fill the position of principal.

Mr. Acosta has his heart invested in Garden Ridge Elementary. My children have all attended GRE, and two of them are current GRE students. His presence in my children's lives is nothing short of fantastic. Administration at GRE has been a positive force for students, teachers and parents and it would be a shame to disturb something so precious. I'm sure it's difficult for an outsider to fully grasp this truthful statement, and so I feel not only obligated, but driven to make it known. If we must roar our love and respect for his dedication to GRE, then that is what we will do.

This man is the reason we love Garden Ridge Elementery. We have 3 kids, two of which are still at Garden Ridge and love Mr. Acosta. Without his observation and recognizing they needed additional support in areas they were struggling in would have truly caused social disconnection. Being outside school helping kids being dropped off and just knowing each parent on a personal level, it truly saddens me that he did not get the Principal position. This school would not be the same without Mr.Acosta. I ask that you reconsider his application for Principal. From a parent that has 3 kids that went and two that still are at Garden Ridge, we truly would be heart broken to see him leave.

Mr. Acosta is such a great administrator. He has more genuine concern for every child that comes through the door than anyone I have ever met. I currently have 2 children at Garden Ridge and 1 that went K through 5, now at Forestwood. Mr. Acosta knows all of the children. And, I mean knows them. He knows their interests, their strengths, their weaknesses. He truly believes every child is a good child and every child deserves the best opportunity to learn. Please, please do not let him leave Garden Ridge Elementary. This is a close knit school, we are all family. Loosing him will not be easy on the students. Please reconsider him for the principal position of Garden Ridge Elementary. We feel he is, by far, the best choice for our children's futures. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Cat Knier

Mr. Acosta genuinely loves his job & this community. I've never seen him without a smile on his face. We are truly thankful for him.

My kids attended Garden Ridge. Mr. Acosta played an instrumental role in their education. He worked very hard all these years and gave each and every kid in the school a piece of his heart. Very few teachers leave such an impact in the kids' lives as Mr. Acosta has left. Please reconsider the decision.

Luis Acosta is a fantastic leader and role model to our young ladies and gentlemen. He has the loyalty, respect and admiration of the faculty, staff, parents and students alike and should be the new principal at Garden Ridge.

This was a huge mistake by LISD. Mr. Acosta deserved this position.

This should be a no brainier! Mr. Acosta is amazing! We had two go thru GRE and he was always there, always attentive! He is GRE!

Mr. Acosta is most deserving of this position.
