Vital that this continues I've known a number of young people who would have had no future without it's help

a much needed faculty to house young people who need extra support, where else can they go if home is not a safe option.

This is truly shocking - young people who cannot live at home (even if it is only finding parents too strict) cannot always find friends to help.

Looks like short sighted cuts to me - 16-25 is such a crucial age for getting your life on track and society should help those who do not automatically have enough of the right support - after all, we all pay the price for disaffected youth.

I have worked for much of my adult life supporting young people involved in the criminal justice system, and know how vital this kind of support is, to help young people get get their lives sorted out. For those of a mercenary disposition, it is also much much cheaper to help young people sort their problems out at this stage, than deal with the consequences later.

Very sad! And unnecessary, given that a small rise in council tax would solve the problem and many more in 3rd world Shropshire.

Have never been homeless, so have no idea of the difficulties, but don't think I could have managed.

Closing Ludlow Foyer would be crazy. It would mean that young people would end up on the streets and would not get the help they need to get a good start in adult life.

This housing support is vital for young people. If it's shuts who will help the vulnerable? Not everyone can afford private rent or are even accepted by social housing for one reason or another.

Used to live here myself and if it wasn't for this place I would never have been able to turn my life around.

Such services are needed and should be funded by society. Our responsibility requires increased taxation and funding of local democracy.

Austerity hits the vulnerable hardest. The well-off escape scot-free. Appalling!

I am so proud of the work that the Ludlow Foyer does - and very moved by the support we have received from the people of Ludlow - who have stood up to protect it. Thank you.

The hallmark of a civilised society is the amount of care and support given to those in need.
