Fight for Ludlow Foyer

I bear witness to the invaluable and excellent work of all the staff at The Foyer having referred young people into its service down the years. The project continues to turn lives around and help individuals realise potential that others over look.The Foyer provides hope and a route for self-development.It is an asset not only for vulnerable young people but also to South Shropshire.The risk of service reduction or closure would be a major backward step for youth investment and create a negative ripple effect within the community.From different perspectives there are futures at stake here.

Ludlow Foyer is very much needed for the youth of both Ludlow and surrounding areas. I lived there for 18 months from the age of 17 and the help and support they gave me the whole time was fantastic and I can not thank the staff enough

Knowing the excellent outcomes that are achieved by staff working with young people at The Foyer, it would be hard to imagine how some would cope without the support offered

Having witnessed the significant hard work that goes on to support the young people in Ludlow and rural hinterland, and the substantial financial investment made by SSHA in providing this facility. Such investment being complimented with grant from many charities and Government Agencies, it would be a retrograde step for a rural community to loose such a facility - I would urge policy makers to consider rural communities when making decisions that affect the whole of England and locally Shropshire Council to consider how these groups would be supported without the Foyer. Please lets not throw away all this good work.
